Quietly (“the Extension”) is a Chrome extension that scans your Gmail inbox for trial ending notices, price increase emails, and subscription renewal warnings, and surfaces them in a private side panel. This policy explains exactly what data the Extension reads, what it stores, and what it never does.
Quietly processes your email data exclusively inside your browser. No email content, personal information, or usage data is ever sent to any server, shared with any third party, or stored anywhere other than your own device.
When you are on mail.google.com, the Extension reads the following from your Gmail inbox through the browser’s DOM (the visible page content):
This reading happens locally, inside your browser, in order to detect keywords associated with trial endings, price changes, and subscription renewals.
The Extension does not use the Gmail API and does not request OAuth access to your Google account.
Detected alerts and associated metadata (sender domain, renewal date, urgency level, and whether you have seen the alert) are saved to chrome.storage.local — browser-local storage that is:
The Extension also stores aggregate statistics (e.g., number of emails scanned) in chrome.storage.local for display in the side panel. This data never leaves your device.
The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store:
mail.google.comWe share no data with anyone. The Extension makes no network requests to external servers. There are no analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party SDKs included.

All data stored by the Extension remains on your device for as long as the Extension is installed. You can delete all stored data at any time using the clear function inside the Extension, or by uninstalling the Extension. Uninstalling removes all chrome.storage.local data associated with Quietly.
The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly process data from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
